Concrete Sidewalks and Driveways
Sidewalks and driveway concrete take more abuse than anything else on a property: foot traffic, vehicle weight, road salt and a full northern Illinois winter every year. When a section lifts or cracks apart it becomes a trip hazard and a drainage problem at the same time. Panther pours new walks and driveway sections, and replaces failed flatwork, with the base and the pitch set so the new work does not repeat the old problem.

Flatwork That Holds Up
Built for Vehicle Weight
Driveway concrete is specified for what actually drives on it, not poured at sidewalk thickness.
Drains Away From the House
A walk pitched the wrong way sends water at the foundation every time it rains. Pitch gets set deliberately.
Clean Removal
Old failed concrete broken out and hauled off before the new base goes in.
Level Transitions
New work tied into existing walks, aprons and steps without a lip to catch a toe.

Our Process
Assess
We look at why the existing concrete failed so the replacement does not fail the same way.
Remove and Prep
Break out the old slab, haul it off, then excavate and compact a proper base.
Form and Pour
Forms set to line and pitch, reinforcement placed, concrete poured and finished.
Joint and Clean Up
Control joints cut, site cleaned, and the pour left to cure before use.
